Attorney Sun holds two doctorate degrees, JD in law and PhD in Engineering. He is a registered attorney with both State of California and US Patent and Trademark Office. Attorney Sun came to the University of Southern California (USC) in the United States in 1987 to study for his first doctorate degree. He has worked as corporate executive in high-tech materials and biomedical companies for more than 30 years, and was also invited to teach as a part-time lecturer at University of Southern California. Attorney Sun is also enthusiastic in public service. He has served as a member of the Irvine City Investment Advisory Committee and the Irvine City Finance Commission for many years. He also served two years as the chairman of the Asian American Advocacy Alliance. Dr. Sun has his own law firm providing legal services to Chinese and American companies.
